Dial-Up Network Terminal Manual
Experiment 002 is a self-contained fictional network. It accepts only five-digit numbers in the 555 range and never dials, scans or connects to a real computer, telephone number or external service.
PUBLIC COMMANDS
HELP shows available commands.
STATUS shows modem and connection state.
LIST SYSTEMS lists known nodes.
DIAL 555-01337 connects to a fictional node. CONNECT is an alias for DIAL.
HANGUP closes the current fictional connection.
DIR lists files on a connected node.
TYPE filename reads a public text file.
LOGON username passcode authenticates against credentials defined only inside the simulation.
LOGOFF ends the simulated session.
WHO shows the current simulated identity.
RUN name starts an available text module.
CLEAR clears the terminal display.
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to browse command history. Discovered nodes are remembered only in this browser. Some commands and systems are intentionally undocumented.
